Poker is played with a standard deck of 52 cards. The numbers and letters on
the cards are called the 'rank'. The symbol on the card (heart, club,
diamond or spade) is the 'suit' The cards are ranked as follows
2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-J-Q-K-A
2 is the lowest value card in poker and
A is the highest.
The cards 'J-Q-K-A' are commonly referred to as Jack, Queen, King and
Ace. The 2 is sometimes called 'deuce'.

A poker hand can have up to 5 cards. Some combinations only use 4, 3 or 2
cards to make a hand. Poker hand combinations are ranked according to
the probability of that hand appearing. Rare combinations are
ranked high, the frequent common hands are ranked low
There are a total of 8 poker hand combinations. In poker, the suit of the
card is not significant. One suit is as good as another. The primary focus is
on the rank of the cards, and pairing your cards to make a hand
